With the release of his very good reviews from the press and media and from the audience as well. REMEMBER has been selected by SGAE in a Spanish music compilation to be promoted internationally. Lluís Coloma plays own compositions in a performance full of power, dynamics and honesty. The trio plays with an acoustic Blues sound in the Boogie Woogie piano tradition. Rhythm, passion and emotion. A deep music with a festive touch. Central in Madrid, Black Note in Valencia, La Bilbaina del Jazz de Bilbao, and Jamboree de Barcelona. ===== In his hands, the most simple blues and the primitive boogie’s rock hide a new idea, an unexpected rhythm combination. Roger Roca Parera. El periódico. 1 Noviembre 2002 As a pianist, Coloma is imposing... Esteban Perez. Todas las Novedades. Noviembre 2002 “Remember”, one of the most pleasant new releases of the year. Piano and organ player Lluís Coloma’s introducing CD is an explosion of vitality... A splendid CD ... Juan Campos. Efe Eme, num 44. Diciembre 2002 Jazzy, musically spontaneous, creative and technicallly proficient are usually what it takes to make a good recording. Such is the case here with his trio of equally positioned players when not soloing. All instrumental which is of course the most difficult to present, I like the CD. He adds interesting twists to the standard boogie phases and turnarounds and does them very well. He breaks up the piano with tasty B3 sounds and keeps the album flowing and interesting. "Shuffle in C" cooks like the good boogie it is. Then we get a dose of great piano blues in "Blues For The Night Owl" Great stuff and I love it! Steve Dore. www.boogiewoogie.com. 2002 |
